A survey of solved problems and applications on bandwidth, edgesum, and profile of graphs

چکیده
This paper provides a survey of results on the exact bandwidth, edgesum, and pro le of graphs. A bibliography of work in these areas is provided. The emphasis is on composite graphs. This may be regarded as an update of the original survey of solved bandwidth problems by Chinn, Chv atalov a, Dewdney, and Gibbs[10] in 1982. Also several of the application areas involving these graph parameters are described.

Design and Evaluation of a Method for Partitioning and Offloading Web-based Applications in Mobile Systems with Bandwidth Constraints
Computation offloading is known to be among the effective solutions of running heavy applications on smart mobile devices. However, irregular changes of a mobile data rate have direct impacts on code partitioning when offloading is in progress. It is believed that once a rate-adaptive partitioning performed, the replication of such substantial processes due to bandwidth fluctuation can be avoid...
متن کاملOn the bandwidth of Mobius graphs
Bandwidth labelling is a well known research area in graph theory. We provide a new proof that the bandwidth of Mobius ladder is 4, if it is not a $K_{4}$, and investigate the bandwidth of a wider class of Mobius graphs of even strips.

Graph coloring is a way of coloring the vertices of a graph such that no two adjacent vertices have the same color. Graph coloring problem (GCP) is about finding the smallest number of colors needed to color a given graph. The smallest number of colors needed to color a graph G, is called its chromatic number. GCP is a well-known NP-hard problems and, therefore, heuristic algorithms are usually...
متن کاملSolved and unsolved problems in generalized notions of Connes amenability
We survey the recent investigations on (bounded, sequential) approximate Connes amenability and pseudo-Connes amenability for dual Banach algebras. We will discuss the core problems concerning these notions and address the signicance of any solutions to them to the development of the eld.
متن کاملCOSPECTRALITY MEASURES OF GRAPHS WITH AT MOST SIX VERTICES
Cospectrality of two graphs measures the differences between the ordered spectrum of these graphs in various ways. Actually, the origin of this concept came back to Richard Brualdi's problems that are proposed in cite{braldi}: Let $G_n$ and $G'_n$ be two nonisomorphic simple graphs on $n$ vertices with spectra$$lambda_1 geq lambda_2 geq cdots geq lambda_n ;;;text{and};;; lambda'_1 geq lambda'_2...
